Poll Winner - See Kai Run!
See Kai Run won our recent poll asking which shoe brand was the best replacement for Preschoolians by a landslide. The runner-up was "Other" which doesn't help much since there wasn't a write in category. That's why it's great that so many of you keep posting your suggestions in the comments area. Moms helping other moms find great shoes for their children is what this site is really about - now that we've pretty much finished complaining about the lack of service at Preschoolians.
Tomorrow, I'll post a review of Soft Star Shoes. In the meantime, vote in our new poll that asks how many pairs of shoes you'll be buying for your little ones this spring season. If you have two or more kids, go ahead and vote twice. Or just average the number of pairs you'll be buying and enter that.

I just received my first pair of See Kai Run shoes (after seeing the good reviews here!) and I LOVE them. The leather is incredible! So, so soft---much like Robeez but with a flexible rubber sole and great styles. I do think they may run slightly big and definitely on the wide side (which is perfect for my little one!) Thanks to shoemama for pointing me in the right direction!
I agree about the See Kai Run shoes- they are awesome! I never thought anything would replace our beloved Preschoolians, but I think that I actually like these SKR's much better. The sole is so very flexible, but seems more substantial and appears that it will provide better traction. My 22-month old little boy wore his Preschoolians IWB until the bottoms were almost completely slick, but that doesn't seem like it will be an issue with the SKR's. The leather is probably the softest leather I have felt, and smells great- like leather should smell. (The Preschoolians always had a weird smell to me.) Anyway, the shoe does seem to run a little big, but I doubled-up on the socks and I think that it will last him a long time, since he seems to be in a growth spurt lately anyway. I only wish that they offered the See Kai Runs in some more traditional colors, or a design-your-own. I emailed the company and they said that there aren't any immediate plans to offer a design-your-own option. I just wish I could order a few of their shoes in solid brown, solid navy, etc. Oh well, they are still by far the best shoes I have ever bought for my litte one! I found them at babyboatshop.com, which offers free shipping, making the cost just $31.95- much cheaper than Preschoolians too!
